COVID-19 scare in Adamawa as Gov. Mohammed goes into self isolation

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has gone into self isolation after shaking the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Muhammed, who has tested positive for the dreaded COVID-19 disease otherwise known as Coronavirus.
The Governor said he was in the same aircraft with Muhammed Abubakar and also shook hands with him.
The governor’s spokesman, Mukhtar Gidado, in a statement on Monday, said Mohammed and Atiku’s son boarded the same international flight, Aero Contractor, that arrived in Nigeria via Lagos, adding that the two of them “shook hands and exchange pleasantries.”
“So far the governor did not exhibit any symptom of the disease, but based on the recommendation of the NCDC he will remain in isolation in order to avoid the risk of spreading the disease.
“Currently, the blood sample of the governor has been taken and is undergoing clinical test. For the period of the clinical test, the governor and his entourage will remain in isolation pending the outcome of the clinical results.”
According to Gidado, Mohammed has canceled all his official engagements and that he regrets any inconveniences his isolation may cause the state.
