Adron Games 2024: “Fit to Be the Biggest” Set to Inspire Athletes in Ibadan

Adron Homes & Properties has officially unveiled the 2024 edition of the Adron Games, themed “Fit to Be the Biggest,” scheduled for November 29th-30th at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.

This year marks the second time Ibadan will host the popular sporting event, which aims to foster physical fitness and community engagement across Nigeria.

The Adron Games, now in its seventh edition, expects to draw over 10,000 athletes and fitness enthusiasts from various backgrounds. The theme reflects the event’s ambition to encourage participants to pursue greatness in both sports and personal fitness.

“This year’s theme captures our spirit and ambition,” Adeboye Abiodun, Digital Operations and Media Relations Officer at Adron Homes & Properties said in a statement on Wednesday. “We want everyone to embrace the journey of becoming their best selves, both physically and mentally.”

The games will feature a diverse range of sports, including Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Athletics, and E-sports, alongside fun events like Tug of War.

Highlighting the event are Nigerian football legends Daniel Amokachi and Mutiu Adepoju, who have been named official ambassadors. Both icons are expected to inspire participants with their achievements and passion for sports.

“Sports in Nigeria need more support from businesses to discover and nurture talent among our youth,” Amokachi stated during the unveiling. “Adron Homes’ commitment is crucial for boosting Nigeria’s global sports performance.”

Mutiu Adepoju echoed this sentiment, praising the unifying power of sports. “Sports is a powerful tool for unity and fitness, both physically and mentally. Aare Adetola Emmanuelking’s dedication to this event is vital for the development of sports and youth empowerment in Nigeria,” Adepoju remarked.
