Two die in Oyo road accident

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Oyo State has confirmed the death of two persons in a road crash that occurred on the Ogbomoso-Ilorin Expressway.
The sector Public Relations Officer, Mayowa Odewo, confirmed this on Tuesday, in a statement issued in Ibadan, the state capital.
He said the victims were one male adult, one female adult, and a male child who also sustained injury.
The victims have been taken to the Bowen Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
Odewo explained further that the accident involved a commercial vehicle and a trailer.
He said: “In the crashed vehicles, the sum of N167,000 and one male adult dead body were handed over to DPO, Oke Owode Police station.
“However, the female adult taken to BOWEN Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso was confirmed dead at the hospital while the male child is receiving treatment.”
He admonished drivers on the need to eschew overspeeding and discriminate parking.
