In the cabin, thousands of loyal party faithful, men and women who have weathered every storm and remained committed through impossible odds, sit trusting that their pilots know the destination.

‎But there is a man in the aisle, Zacch Adedeji who has other plans.

‎The hijacker, Zacch Adedeji, Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) boss, has quietly positioned himself as the most dangerous passenger aboard this aircraft. His weapons? A formidable financial war chest and an enviable closeness to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

‎With these two instruments, he didn’t storm the cockpit loudly. He moved methodically, whispering to the pilots, dazzling the passengers, leveraging Abuja connections to slowly redirect the flight path away from the party’s collective destiny and toward his own private landing strip of personal ambition.

‎His playbook is to use money to create dependency, his presidential proximity to create fear. Make pilots, who are the party leaders, feel defiance is career suicide. Make passengers, party faithfuls, feel their loyalty is already spoken for, by him, not the party.

‎The result? Decisions belonging to Oyo APC leadership now made in hotel lobbies and Abuja back offices. The ward coordinators, women leaders, and youth mobilizers who bled for this party are being rendered irrelevant in their own aircraft.

‎To the Oyo APC leadership: Every pilot who surrenders the cockpit to a hijacker becomes complicit in the crash. Adedeji’s presidential access is a tool of manipulation not a mandate for you to abandon your duty.

‎To the loyal party faithful: A hijacked plane has no safe landing. When it crashes, the hijacker may have a parachute. You will not. Your loyalty is noble, but loyalty without vigilance is surrender.

‎Zacch Adelabu Adedeji may believe money and presidential access make him untouchable. But political history is littered with the wreckage of men who confused access for mandate and wealth for legitimacy. Oyo APC is not his private aircraft.
