Christmas: Senator Fadahunsi Calls for Unity, Love, Reaffirms Commitment to Osun East Development

The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, has urged Nigerians to embrace the virtues of love, unity, and national cohesion as they join the rest of the world to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
In a Christmas message issued on his behalf by his Media Adviser, Sam Segun-Progress, the lawmaker emphasized that the season serves as a critical reminder of the power of hope and the necessity of communal harmony in navigating the nation’s current challenges.
Senator Fadahunsi noted that the significance of Christmas transcends mere festivities, describing it as a period for profound reflection on the “ultimate gift to humanity.” He called on Nigerians to look past ethnic and religious differences to find a common ground for national progress.
“Our strength as a nation has always been our diversity,” the Senator stated. “Just as the story of Christmas brings together people from different walks of life—from humble shepherds to wise kings—to celebrate a common hope, we must also find common ground. I call on Nigerians of every faith and ethnicity to use this period to bridge divides. Let us replace suspicion with understanding and animosity with empathy.”
While acknowledging the difficult economic realities facing many households, the lawmaker encouraged his constituents and the wider Nigerian public to maintain faith in the Nigerian project. He noted that while the times are trying, the collective synergy of a united people is the key to returning the country to a path of growth.
The statement read: “I am acutely aware of the economic challenges facing many households today. I hear your concerns and feel the weight of the sacrifices being made. However, Nigeria’s greatness is not a product of one tribe or one religion, but the collective synergy of a united people. In the spirit of Christ, let us be our brother’s keeper.”
Reiterating his dedication to his mandate, Senator Fadahunsi assured the people of Osun East that their interests remain a top priority in the National Assembly. He pledged to continue pushing for legislative interventions that will bring tangible transformation to the senatorial district and the state at large.
“As your representative, I remain committed to ensuring that the interests of Osun East are protected and prioritized in the hallowed chambers of the Senate. We will continue to push for legislative interventions that complement efforts to bring total transformation to our communities,” he added.
The lawmaker concluded by urging the well-to-do in society to remember the less privileged during the celebrations. He advocated for moderation and fervent prayers for the peace and prosperity of the nation as it transitions into the new year.
On behalf of his family and team, Senator Fadahunsi wished all indigenes and residents of Osun State a Merry Christmas and a growth-filled New Year.
