Wema Bank to Reward 131 Nigerians with N11 Million in January’s 5-for-5 Promo Draw

Wema Bank, renowned as Nigeria’s leading innovative bank and the creator of Africa’s first fully digital bank, ALAT, is set to kick off 2025 with a massive cash giveaway of N11 million in the first monthly draw of its 5-for-5 Promo Season 4. Scheduled for January 24, 2025, in Warri, Delta State, the draw will reward 131 customers across the country.
The 5-for-5 Promo, launched in 2021, is Wema Bank’s initiative to celebrate and reward customer loyalty and active engagement with the bank’s products and services. Over the past three seasons, the promo has distributed more than N150 million to 2,378 Nigerians across all six geopolitical zones. For Season 4, which began on October 1, 2024, Wema Bank has raised the stakes with N135 million earmarked for disbursement.
To date, the promo has rewarded over 1,000 customers through daily, weekly, and monthly draws, with over N27 million already distributed this season. The upcoming January draw will mark the third monthly draw of the season and the first of 2025. It promises to deliver significant rewards:
- 80 winners will receive N25,000 each.
- 40 winners will take home N100,000 each.
- 8 domiciliary account holders will win N250,000 each.
- 3 lucky customers will become millionaires with N1 million each, including one guaranteed winner from Warri.
Reflecting on the promo’s impact, Wema Bank’s Managing Director and CEO, Moruf Oseni, emphasized its role in supporting customers and fostering hope. He remarked, “The goal of the Wema Bank 5-for-5 Promo is to give back, provide support, and reward our loyal customers. This initiative has grown stronger over the past four years. In December, we created millionaires ahead of Christmas, and it was heartwarming to hear how instrumental these rewards were in settling bills. Now, we’re ready to start 2025 on a millionaire note.”
Oseni highlighted the transparency and inclusivity of the promo, noting that although the January draw will take place in Warri, winners are drawn nationwide. “The joy for us is in the smiles we create, the lives we impact, and the hope these rewards bring—whether to students, small business owners, or working professionals,” he said.
Encouraging participation, Oseni noted, “The January draw is perfectly timed to ease the financial strain many experience at the start of the year. I congratulate the winners in advance and urge all Wema Bank customers, new and existing, to participate. The 5-for-5 Promo is transparent, and anyone who meets the requirements can win.”
One previous winner, Olorunshola Damilola Esther, a trader from Akure who won N1 million in the second monthly draw in December 2024, expressed gratitude to Wema Bank. She encouraged Nigerians to keep transacting, saying, “Wema Bank surprised me, and I am so grateful. I urge everyone to continue using their Wema accounts. You could be the next lucky winner!”
