Wema Bank Empowers 131 Women with N11 Million in 5 for 5 Promo

As part of its commitment to financial inclusion and women’s empowerment, Wema Bank has awarded N11 million to 131 women across Nigeria in the Women’s Month edition of its 5 for 5 Promo. The draw, which took place on March 21, 2025, in Aba, is part of the bank’s ongoing initiative to reward loyal customers.

A Tradition of Rewarding Customers

Launched in 2021, the Wema Bank 5 for 5 Promo has become a major avenue for rewarding customers, with over N150 million distributed to 2,378 Nigerians in previous seasons. Now in its fourth season, the promo has a total prize pool of N135 million, with over N50 million already disbursed since October 2024.

For the fifth monthly draw in March, Wema Bank dedicated the prize exclusively to women, reinforcing its commitment to supporting female financial empowerment.

Among the top winners were Ogechukwu Patience Ani from Aba, Vanessa Chiamaka Ogbonna from Lagos, and Mubarakah Abisola Alowonle from Bodija, each receiving N1 million. Additional winners included eight domiciliary account holders who won N250,000 each, 40 women who won N100,000 each, and 80 women who received N25,000 each.

Congratulating the winners, Wema Bank’s MD/CEO, Moruf Oseni (FCIB), reaffirmed the bank’s long-standing commitment to empowering women and promoting financial inclusion.
