The announcement was made in a circular dated August 7, 2023, and signed by the Director, PRS, Ahmed Ikaka, on behalf of the Director-General of the corps.
According to the circular, the orientation exercise will take place across all 36 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory. Registration for the orientation course is scheduled to run from August 28 to August 30, with a deadline of midnight on August 30, 2024.

The orientation course will then proceed with various activities aimed at preparing the corps members for their service year, culminating in a closing ceremony on September 17, 2024.
The NYSC has urged all prospective corps members to ensure they register on time and participate fully in the orientation course to prepare themselves for their service year.
