‘I Warned Him!’ — Primate Ayodele’s 2024 Prophecy Resurfaces After Anthony Joshua’s Miraculous Escape from Fatal Crash

As the nation grapples with the news of the horrific auto crash involving boxing superstar Anthony Joshua, the spotlight has once again turned to Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church.
For the cleric’s followers, the tragedy—which claimed the lives of two of the boxer’s close friends—is a sobering validation of a prophetic warning issued over a year ago.
The accident occurred as Joshua was traveling from the airport. Reports indicate that the former world champion only survived because he swapped seats with a friend shortly before the impact; a decision that spared his life but led to the death of his companion.
Back in October 2024, at a time when Joshua was focused on his career resurgence, Primate Ayodele released a specific and urgent message for the boxer. He had warned of rising spiritual battles aimed at “killing his glory” and urged him to undergo a process of deep spiritual fortification.
In that viral prophecy, Ayodele was explicit: “Anthony Joshua, you still have a future, don’t let them kill your glory. There is a need for you to do spiritual cleansing; there is a battle that will arise against you. Don’t let them kill your glory prematurely. Sincerely, you need prayers.”
With the recent narrow escape from a fatal collision, supporters of the cleric argue that Ayodele saw the “premature” threat to Joshua’s life well ahead of time, even if the public is only now connecting the dots.
This prophetic “hit” comes at a critical time for Primate Ayodele, who has recently faced a wave of social media backlash over his warnings regarding the Super Eagles and star player Ademola Lookman.
On December 20, 2025, during the launch of his 2026 prophetic compendium, Ayodele cautioned that Lookman would not provide the expected “help” to the team during the ongoing AFCON tournament. When Lookman scored in an early match, critics were quick to mock the cleric. However, Ayodele has remained unmoved, urging his detractors to wait for the final whistle of the tournament before judging the accuracy of his word.
Despite the noise from skeptics, Primate Ayodele continues to demonstrate a remarkable staying power in Nigeria’s prophetic landscape, spanning over 30 years of ministry. Whether it is the geopolitical shifts in Venezuela or the personal safety of international athletes, his “spiritual radar” remains a point of intense national discussion.
While the world celebrates Anthony Joshua’s survival, the tragic loss of his friends serves as a grim reminder of the “battles” Ayodele predicted. For the INRI leader, it is yet another instance of speaking what he believes to be the divine truth, regardless of how it is received by the masses.
