Breaking: President Tinubu Appoints Olufemi Oluyede as Acting Chief of Army Staff

In a significant military update, President Bola Tinubu has named Major General Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede as the acting Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
This decision was announced on Wednesday through a statement from presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga.
According to the statement, Oluyede will hold the position temporarily while Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja receives treatment abroad for an undisclosed ailment.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has appointed Major General Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede as the acting Chief of Army Staff (COAS),” Onanuga noted. “Oluyede will act in the position pending the return of the indisposed substantive Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja.”
