FG expresses concerns over growing COVID-19 cases in Kano

Nigeria has recorded its first COVID-19 disease, otherwise known as Coronavirus related death, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed on Monday.

The NCDC made the confirmation on its Twitter handle @NCDCgov, on Monday

“The first #COVID19 death in Nigeria has been recorded. The case was a 67-year-old male who returned home following medical treatment in the United Kingdom.

“He had underlying medical conditions- multiple myeloma and diabetes and was undergoing chemotherapy.”
Nigeria currently has about 35 Coronavirus positive cases in the country after the NCDC confirmed five new cases on Monday morning.
