Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele: Humanity Beyond Prophecy

For more than four decades, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, the spiritual leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has stood out not only as a prophetic voice but as a steadfast advocate of humanity. His life and ministry consistently affirm one truth: beyond prophecy, compassion must always come first.

The Ekiti-born cleric has, over the years, touched countless lives, restoring hope to the hopeless and dignity to the downtrodden. His impact goes far beyond the pulpit.

In my previous write-up published some years ago, I openly stated that Primate Ayodele remains one of the few men of God who has shown unwavering support for journalists. At the time, I noted that I had lost count of journalists who had benefited from his generosity. Today, I proudly reaffirm that statement, adding that I am personally a beneficiary of his kindness.

Yet, his benevolent spirit is by no means limited to the media. Across Nigeria and beyond, men and women—both within and outside his church—have experienced the depth of his humanitarian commitment. Through his annual 21 Days Thanksgiving programme, Primate Ayodele has consistently transformed celebration into service, using the platform to uplift lives, empower the vulnerable, and extend help to those often forgotten by society.

His contributions to education further reflect this enduring commitment to nation-building. The establishment of a School of Communication in collaboration with the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Lagos campus, stands as a remarkable milestone—one that deserves recognition and applause.
Widows, orphans, the elderly, the less privileged, and many others have all found solace, support, and renewed hope through Primate Ayodele’s interventions. These acts of kindness are not occasional gestures but a consistent pattern that defines his life and ministry.

Ultimately, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele should not be viewed solely through the lens of prophecy. His humanitarian legacy rooted in compassion, selflessness, and service to humanity, speaks just as loudly.

In a time when words are abundant but genuine care is scarce, his actions remain a powerful reminder that true spirituality is measured not only by revelations, but by the lives we uplift.
