Musician Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has submitted himself to the Lagos State Police Command after the police asked him to submit himself or be declared wanted.
The police had asked Fashola and Abdulrasheed Bello, a.k.a JJC Skillz to report to the SCIID, Panti, after the arrest of Actress Funke Akindele for hosting a party to celebrate Bello’s birthday.
Bello however submitted himself to the police in the early hours of Monday and arraigned in court alongside Akindele.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, confirmed on Monday that Fashola is already in custody.
He said: “Azeez Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley is now in Police custody. He will also be charged to Court for violating the restriction orders.
“The Command has launched a manhunt for the remaining persons who attended the party. The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Hakeem Odumosu expressed his profound gratitude to Lagosians and other well-meaning Nigerians that speak up against the violations. Together we can stop the spread of COVID-19.”
