Kosoko, Toyin Abraham, Pasuma, Others Named in Lagos APC Campaign Council

Veteran actor Prince Jide Kosoko, Nollywood stars Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi, Eniola Badmus and Bimbo Akintola, and Fuji musicians Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Obesere and Adewale Ayuba have been listed among members of the Lagos State All Progressives Congress campaign council for the 2027 elections.

The entertainers are part of the party’s 33-member Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate, whose composition was made public on Thursday by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre.

The campaign council is scheduled for formal inauguration on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.

Under the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate, Toke Benson-Awoyinka has been designated Director, with Kosoko serving as Co-Director and Badmus as Deputy Director.

Akeem Alimi, popularly known as Ajala Jalingo, is listed as Secretary, while Dare Olateju is the Assistant Secretary.

The directorate brings together personalities from different segments of the entertainment industry, particularly Nollywood, Yoruba-language cinema and Fuji music.

Among the notable actors and actresses on the list are veteran actor Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, Saheed Balogun, Abiola Adebayo, Remi Oshodi, Foluke Daramola, Bukky Wright, Fathia Balogun, Kikelomo Balogun, Yinka Quadri, Bimbo Akintola, Tayo Sobola and Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi.

Other members include Bopo Oyekan Ismaila, Rasaq Yusuf, Aderinola Philips, Olamide Maja and Abbey Lanre.

The music contingent includes Pasuma, Abas Akande, popularly known as Obesere, Sulaimon Alao Adekunle (Malaika), Adewale Ayuba, Akorede Babatunde Okunola (Osupa) and Temitope Adekunle (Small Doctor).

Sule Adio Ataweye, Yemisi Falaye, Leke Babatunde Akinrowo, Kayode Fahm and Aruna Ishola are also listed as members of the directorate.

The Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate is one of several specialised structures established under the Lagos APC campaign council as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.

At the broader campaign council level, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is listed as Chairman, while his deputy, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, is designated Deputy Chairman.

Former Senator Musiliu Obanikoro is named Director-General, with Rasaq Ajala as Deputy Director-General and Adekunle Olayinka as Campaign Secretary.

The wider structure also includes former Lagos governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode as Co-Chairmen of the advisory structure, while Prince Tajudeen Olusi is listed as Chairman of the Governance Advisory Council.

The campaign council’s inauguration on Friday is expected to formally set the various directorates and committees in motion ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
