Hon. Olowonawu Solomon Fulfils Promise, Pays Salaries of 20 Grassroots PAs in Ijumu

Hon. Olowonawu Solomon, Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kogi State on Grassroots Sensitization, has once again demonstrated his commitment to grassroots development by fulfilling his promise to the (20) Personal Assistants appointed from across Ijumu Local Government Area.

In line with his commitment to empowering people at the grassroots, Hon. Olowonawu Solomon has paid the salaries of all (20) Personal Assistants selected to represent different communities and interests across Ijumu.

According to Hon. Olowonawu Solomon, the purpose of the new grassroots structure goes beyond appointments. It is designed to ensure that the people at the grassroots feel the impact of government and benefit directly from opportunities, programmes and initiatives provided through government representatives.

He emphasized that the appointed Personal Assistants are expected to serve as a strong link between the government and the people. Their responsibility is to remain connected to their communities, listen to the concerns of the people, promote government programmes and ensure that the voice of the grassroots receives proper attention.

Hon. Olowonawu Solomon stated that the initiative marks a new phase in grassroots engagement and development, with greater emphasis on inclusion, representation and direct connection between government and communities.

He also called on the people of Ijumu and Kogi State to continue supporting the administration of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Executive Governor of Kogi State. He urged the grassroots to support APC candidates across the electoral spectrum, from councillorship positions to the presidency

He maintained that the strength of any government lies in its connection with the people, stressing the need for sustained cooperation, unity and active participation at the grassroots.

The development further reflects Hon. Olowonawu Solomon stated commitment to ensuring that government representation at the grassroots translates into tangible benefits for the people.
