EndBadGovernance Protest: Protesters hold joint prayer session in Jos
As the #EndBadGovernance protests entered its fourth day on Sunday, protesters in Jos, Plateau State, held a joint prayer service to seek divine intervention for the country.
The protesters who gathered in their thousands at the popular Old Airport Junction comprising of both Christians and Muslims, were led by former Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung who has been one of the leaders of the protest in the State.
Waving Nigerian flags, the protesters prayed and sang hymns calling on God’s intervention in the affairs of the country.
Some of the participants who spoke on the significance of the prayer session, said it was their way of hoping for divine intervention to address Nigeria’s governance issues.
“We believe God has not abandoned Nigeria. By adding a church service to our protest, we seek divine influence on our leaders to improve the current dire situation caused by poor governance and harsh policies,” one of the leaders of the protest, Philip Madaki, stated
