Easter: Fashipe Calls for Christlike Living, National Unity

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and House of Representatives aspirant for Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila Federal Constituency, Akin Fashipe, has urged Christians to reflect the teachings and sacrificial lifestyle of Jesus Christ as they mark the Easter season.

In an Easter message he personally signed and released to journalists on Sunday, Fashipe encouraged believers across the constituency to draw inspiration from Christ’s humility, love, and ultimate sacrifice for humanity, noting that these virtues remain essential for both personal growth and national development.

He stressed that Nigeria would experience greater peace and progress if Christians consistently practised the core values of love, unity, and selflessness exemplified by Jesus Christ.

The businessman-turned-politician also described the current state of the nation as challenging, pointing to widespread uncertainties and difficulties, and called on Christians to use the Easter period as a time of deep reflection and prayer for divine intervention.

“I, therefore, call on Nigerians to eschew bitterness and divisive vices, and embrace the virtues of Jesus Christ to return the country to the path of glory,” he said.

“It is my prayer that the spiritual benefits of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ will continue to resonate in our lives and homes and we shall emulate his sacrificial lifestyle,” Fashipe added.

Fashipe further urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and committed to building a more united and prosperous nation through faith, compassion, and collective responsibility.
