‘A New Dawn’ for Ifelodun, Boripe and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, Declares Dr. Wale Oyedeji

The political landscape for the Ifelodun, Boripe and Odo-Otin (IBO) Federal Constituency is poised for change, according to Hon. Dr. Wale Oyedeji, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the seat.
This is as Dr. Oyedeji officially announced that a “New Dawn” (Igba Otun) has arrived for the people, pledging to bring a fresh, competent approach to legislative representation that prioritizes technical skill and youthful vitality.
Dr. Oyedeji made these remarks on Thursday during the well-attended unveiling ceremony for the APM Osun Central Senatorial Candidate, Dr. Ibrahim Lukman Adekunle, and other APM candidates competing in the upcoming general election. The event, held at Freedom Park in Osogbo, was a vibrant display of political mobilization.
Addressing the crowd of party leaders, members, stakeholders, and supporters, Dr. Oyedeji described his candidacy as a solid commitment to delivering purposeful and impactful representation for the IBO constituency.
“This is Igba Otun — a New Dawn for the people of IBO. I am bringing not only youthful energy, but also the technical know-how required to provide effective representation at the National Assembly.”
He further elaborated on his vision for the role, emphasizing that true representation entails far more than simply holding a position in Abuja. According to Dr. Oyedeji, a successful legislator must navigate the intricacies of policy development, lawmaking, oversight responsibilities, and constituency engagement, always keeping the needs of the people as the paramount focus.
The significant gathering attracted notable political figures, including the national and Osun State leadership of the APM, the party’s former Osun gubernatorial candidate, the PDP Southwest Youth Leader, the 2026 PDP Osun governorship candidate, along with numerous other influential stakeholders and an enthusiastic base of supporters.
Dr. Oyedeji used the platform to extend his sincere gratitude to the people of Osun Central, and specifically the residents of the Ifelodun, Boripe and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, for the overwhelming goodwill and support shown to the APM lineup.
He noted that the enthusiasm and large turnout at the Freedom Park event clearly signal a strong desire among the populace for a new direction in political leadership.
Dr. Oyedeji reiterated that APM candidates are unified in their commitment to good governance, representative democracy, and a re-imagined path to development, driven by a determination to inject fresh energy and dedicated leadership into public service.
“We appreciate you all for your trust in us. But the journey has just started. We are committed to earning your confidence through service, competence and dedication to the people.”
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Oyedeji issued a passionate call to the people of the IBO Federal Constituency to actively participate in the ‘Igba Otun’ movement and throw their support behind APM candidates in the upcoming general election.
